Founded in 1841 by St. Patrick's Church on Camp Street, these are predominantly Irish cemeteries. The yellow fever epidemic of 1853 took it's toll among the Irish- in August of 1853 eleven hundred people were buried in the St. Patrick cemeteries. These are not the most interesting cemeteries, but there are some nice family tombs and lots of unique headstone carvings.
